About the Artwork
This artwork was exhibited at the “Alice in Fantasia” exhibition, held at Junie Moon Daikanyama Store through September 27, 2026.
This is a single sofa for Neo Blythe, inspired by a famous illustration of Alice sitting in a chair and talking to a kitten.
Designed to suit Neo Blythe, it has a unique shape with a long backrest that widens toward the top.
The legs and each individual part have been carefully carved by hand from wood rather than made from commercially available parts.
After applying several coats of water-based paint, a subtle aged finish has been added.
The seat and cushions are filled with cotton, giving them a soft, plump feel.
